If you like to eat well, and if you like trying and sharing new recipes, this series of note cards and envelopes may interest you!

The illustrated vegetables, and fruit, each variety printed on card fronts, are featured in wonderful recipes on their card backs. An assortment of nine cards and recipes is now available.

In addition to the mesclun/greens card you see at right, each of the nutritious fresh foods you see here, and recipes using them, are available on these high-recycled-content blank notes: snow peas, Swiss chard, summer squash, mesclun, strawberries, tomatoes, blueberries, apples and winter squash.

A new illustration of assorted culinary herbs will be available April 2011. Six new recipes will be offered on cards featuring this art.

Additional varieties will always be added. To inquire about purchasing note cards, please contact me!

My generous partner
in this series is The Produce For Better Health Foundation. They have provided all of the recipes. Please read on to learn more about them!

Produce for Better Health Foundation (PBH) is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) consumer education foundation whose purpose is to motivate people to eat more fruits and vegetables to improve public health. PBH’s mission is to lead people to eat more fruits and vegetables because it matters for their better health. The foundation achieves success through industry and government collaboration, and a variety of marketing and nutrition education programs.

The Fruits and Veggies—More Matters brand, launched in March 2007, was developed to be consistent with the latest Dietary Guidelines for Americans, which recommends various numbers of servings of fruits and vegetables depending on an individual’s calorie needs — ranging from 4 to 13 servings, or 2 to 6.5 cups, per day. The Fruits & Veggies—More Matters interactive Web site, www.fruitsandveggiesmorematters.org, offers recipes, serving ideas, shopping advice, and a new video center. It includes activities and tips for getting children involved and gives consumers the opportunity to share their own easy and fun serving ideas by submitting them online.
